Eduardo Rodriguez goes six strong in Red Sox win

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez allowed just one run and three hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

What It Means:

Rodriguez allowed just one base runner through five innings as the Red Sox held on to a 1-0 lead. In the sixth inning, though, the Brewers got an RBI double from Jonathan Villar to tie the score and chase Rodriguez from the game. The Red Sox won in the ninth inning on a Mookie Betts homer.

Through six starts and 35 1/3 innings pitched this season, Rodriguez is 1-1 with a 2.80 ERA while striking out 10.7 batters per nine innings.
