The Pittsburgh Pirates are giving first baseman Josh Bell the night off versus the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Bell has appeared in all 34 games (29 starts) for the Pirates this season and is getting a rest on Thursday. John Jaso is at first base and batting fifth versus Zach Greinke.
Bell is hitting .236 with a .744 OPS in 119 plate appearances this season.
