Rockies place Trevor Story (shoulder) on 10-day disabled list
The Colorado Rockies have placed shortstop Trevor Story (shoulder) on the 10-day disabled list, per Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post.
Story has been nursing a strained left shoulder since he hurt himself on an awkward swing in Game 2 of the Rockies' doubleheader on Tuesday. The team hopes it will be a minimum stint for the struggling shortstop. Pat Valaika is filling in at short on Thursday.
Story is batting a disappointing .180 with a .301 wOBA and only six home runs in 128 plate appearances so far.
