Giants getting back Denard Span, Brandon Crawford (groin) on Thursday night
San Francisco Giants outfielder Denard Span (shoulder) and shortstop Brandon Crawford (groin) are expected to be activated from the disabled list Thursday against the Cincinnati Reds.
Span last played on April 22 due to a sprained right shoulder. He went 2-for-6 during his two-game rehab stint with High-A San Jose. Crawford has been out since April 25.
The Giants are the worst team in all of baseball, according to numberFire's MLB Power Rankings. Our models project them for a 76-86 record at the end of the year while having a 7.7 percent chance of making the playoffs.
