Cubs giving Anthony Rizzo the day off against Colorado
Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo will get the day off on Wednesday as the Cubs take on the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
What It Means:
Rizzo played both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader, and he'll get the day off to rest on Wednesday. Jeimer Candelario will draw the start at first base and bat fourth in Rizzo's absence.
Rizzo has had a slow start to the year by his usual standards, slashing .218/.342/.398 with a .321 wOBA through 158 plate appearances.
