Andrelton Simmons (thumb) fine to play Tuesday for Angels
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (hand) is in the starting lineup on Tuesday night versus the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
X-rays turned up negative for Simmons' thumb after he was hit by a pitch Monday. He'll be starting at shortstop and hitting fifth tonight versus right-hander Jharel Cotton and the Athletics.
Simmons is slashing .254/.331/.347 across 133 plate appearances this season with three home runs, 12 RBI's and two stolen bases.
