Nationals' Koda Glover (hip) ready for rehab assignment
Washington Nationals reliever Koda Glover (hip) is set to begin a rehab assignment Wednesday with Double-A Harrisburg.
Glover is expected to return to the Nationals' active roster this weekend, so the rehab stint will be a short one. He last pitched on April 25 and should be in line for ninth-inning duties as soon as he's available. The 24-year-old right-hander has converted on two of his three save opportunities in 2017. Shawn Kelley (back) is also on track for a weekend return to Washington's bullpen.
Glover has twirled a 4.15 ERA this season, but he also owns a 1.96 FIP with a 17.6 strikeout percentage across 8 2/3 innings.
