Mets unlikely to send Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) to the disabled list
The New York Mets are not expected to place shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) on the disabled list.
Cabrera left Saturday's game with the injured thumb but X-rays came back clean, so the Mets are hoping a few days rest will resolve the problem. Jose Reyes is at short with Wilmer Flores playing third base on Monday.
Cabrera is batting .260/.336/.385 with 3 home runs, 14 RBI's, and 20 runs scored in 116 plate appearances this season.
