Chris Sale fans 10 in Red Sox rout of Twins

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale struck out 10 while allowing four runs in six innings as he earned his third win of the year on Sunday.

What It Means:

Sale wasn't at his best but the Red Sox offense bailed him out as they scored 17 runs. The BoSox ace gave up four hits and three walks with all four runs allowed coming in the fifth inning. Sale will next start on Saturday versus the Tampa Bay Rays.

Despite the sub-par outing on Sunday, Sale owns a 1.92 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 73 punchouts in 51 2/3 innings pitched this season.
