Mets suspended Matt Harvey for not showing up to game on Saturday
New York Mets starting pitcher Matt Harvey did not show up at Citi Field for Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins, drawing a three-game suspension, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Harvey was complaining of migraines and blames a miscommunication with the club for his no-show on Saturday, but it looks like the club wasn't buying it. The pitcher had his start on Sunday skipped, but all indications are he will be allowed to make his next start later this week versus the Milwaukee Brewers.
Harvey has struggled this season, posting a 4.95 SIERA with only 20 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched through 6 starts.
