Mets claim lefty Tommy Milone off waivers
The New York Mets claimed pitcher Tommy Milone off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers.
What It Means:
The Brewers had designated him for assignment. However, he'll likely be thrust right into the Mets' rotation given their injury issues. Milone could take Rafael Montero's spot later this week.
Milone was lit up for a 6.43 ERA through 21 innings pitched for Milwaukee, with a 17.2 percent strikeout rate and 2.2 percent walk rate. He has just a 3.67 SIERA.
