Ian Kinsler (hamstring) aiming to play for Tigers on Tuesday
Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler (hamstring) is hoping to return to the starting lineup Tuesday.
Kinsler's left hamstring injury will keep him out throughout the weekend series, but the Tigers hope he'll be ready to go following Monday's off day. Andrew Romine has been filling in at second base and in the leadoff spot.
Kinsler has gone just 20-of-97 (.206) with his bat in 2017, giving him by far the lowest average of any of his 12 years in the majors. His current career low is .253, set back in 2009 while with the Texas Rangers.
