Cody Bellinger takes two round-trips in Dodgers' win
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI as they topped the San Diego Padres 8-2 on Friday.
Yes, it's a good thing the Dodgers kept Bellinger in the bigs after activating Joc Pederson from the disabled list. He probably won't unseat Adrian Gonzalez as the Dodgers' first baseman over the next week and a half, but he is the better bet of the two for fantasy purposes the rest of the way. It's likely he'll see more time in the outfield once Gonzalez returns from his injuries.
Bellinger has definitely earned himself more playing time, and our algorithms project him for a .258/.314/.404 slash line, 7 more home runs, 30 runs, and 34 RBI's in 296 more plate appearances this year.
