Washington Nationals third baseman/left fielder Ryan Zimmerman went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and a double in Friday’s win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Zimmerman’s remarkable resurgence marches on. He’s already three off the pace from his home run total from all of last season. His injury history can’t be ignored, but he looks like a new man.
Zimmermann is leading the majors with a .433 batting average and 30 RBI, plus has slammed 12 homers.
