Mariners' Felix Hernandez (shoulder) is two weeks from returning
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (shoulder) is progressing and about two weeks away from a return, general manager Jerry Dipoto said Friday.
This adheres to the initial 3-4 week timetable. Hernandez has been dealing with bursitis in his pitching shoulder.
While Hernandez's 4.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through five starts are really shaky, he does own an encouraging 3.34 SIERA while his 25.6 percent hard-hit rate is down from last season's 28.7 percent, and is also better than his 26.9 percent career average.
