Twins giving Byron Buxton a chance to rest on Friday
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is having headaches and body soreness and will not play on Friday.
Buxton crashed into the outfield wall on multiple occasions on Thursday and needed a day off to rest his body. He was tested and cleared for a concussion but may need to go on the seven-day concussion disabled list if the headaches continue. Max Kepler is in center field, Robbie Grossman in right with Eduardo Escobar at designated hitter on Friday.
Over his last 10 games, Buxton has been respectable at the plate, batting .276/.417/.488 with one home run, three RBI's, two stolen bases, and seven runs scored in 36 plate appearances.
