Dodgers planning to send Adrian Gonzalez (forearm, back) to disabled list

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on MLB Network Radio Friday that the team is "leaning towards" placing first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (forearm, back) on the disabled list.

What It Means:

"Not officially but I think that's where we're going to go," Roberts said. As a result, Roberts added, Cody Bellinger will have "a chance to be out there essentially every day at first base." This will be the first disabled list stint in Gonzalez's 14-year career. It's unknown how long he'll be sidelined.

Gonzalez is slashing .255/.327/.309 with no home runs, six runs scored and 11 RBI's in 105 plate appearances this season.
