Red Sox have Dustin Pedroia leading off versus Orioles
The Boston Red Sox have second baseman Dustin Pedroia batting leadoff versus the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.
Pedroia was hitting in the sixth spot the past five games with shortstop Xander Bogaerts leading off. The second baseman had been in the leadoff spot 15 of his previous 17 games played this season, but was knocked down after missing a few days with a leg injury. Pedroia is batting .400 in his last six games, likely prompting the switch.
Pedroia owns a .279/.347/.291 slash with seven RBI's and six runs scored in 98 plate appearances this season.
