Jharel Cotton gives the A's six strong innings on Thursday
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Jharel Cotton tossed six innings of three-run ball in a win over the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.
Cotton struck out nine, walked three and allowed just three hits. The Twins managed to hit two home runs, both solo shots off Cotton, but not much else. The young right-hander will look to keep the good times rolling as he faces the Los Angeles Angels in his next start, early next week.
Cotton owns a 3-3 record with a 3.98 FIP, 1.48 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts in 33 innings pitched so far this season.
