Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola (back) is scheduled for an MRI on Wednesday.
Nola was only expected to miss one or two starts when he was placed on the disabled list a little under two weeks ago with a strain in his lower back, but things haven't gone as planned. Wednesday's MRI should provide a more accurate timetable.
The 23-year-old right-hander has a 4.50 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 21.7 strikeout percentage across 16 innings this season. He's 2-0 in three starts.
