Nationals move Joe Ross to Triple-A
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.
Ross was scheduled to make his next start against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, but that will no longer be the case. The 23-year-old right-hander lasted only four innings in his most recent start against the New York Mets on Sunday.
In three starts this season, Ross has compiled a 7.47 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 20.0 strikeout percentage over 15 2/3 innings while giving up five home runs.
