Angels to be without Tyler Skaggs (oblique) for 10-12 weeks
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs is expected to be sidelined for 10-to-12 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 right oblique strain.
The starter left Friday's start early after feeling discomfort on his side. Now Skaggs is looking at a late-July/early-August return to the rotation if he avoids any setbacks. The Angels' already thin pitching staff will be tested with the injury. The team is still undecided who will take Skaggs rotation spot for the next three months.
Skaggs was 1-1 with 29 strikeouts and a 3.76 xFIP in 29 1/3 innings pitched this season.
