Dodgers expect Joc Pederson (groin) to be ready for return on Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday or Thursday

What It Means:

Pederson ran the bases on Sunday without any problems, clearing the way to participate in a game. If he makes it through an appearance in the minors without any issues, the Dodgers will activate him on Friday and likely send Cody Bellinger back down to Triple-A.

Pederson is off to a disappointing start as he is batting .220 with a .662 OPS and 30.5 strikeout percentage while hitting only one home run in 59 plate appearances this season.
