Ivan Nova keeps rolling with complete game shutout for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Ivan Nova limited the Miami Marlins to three hits in a complete-game, 4-0 shutout on Saturday.
Nova's magical comeback season continues and the veteran is showing no signs of slowing down. The 30 year-old righty was very efficient on Saturday, needing only 95 pitches to get through nine shutout innings. Nova has now struck out 22 batters this season, while walking only one.
Our models project Nova for a 4.58 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 106 strikeouts over 123.7 innings remaining this season.
