Nationals' Adam Eaton is out for the season after tearing ACL
Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Eaton tore his ACL while trying to beat out a single on Friday, but at the time the severity of the injury was unknown. This is a huge blow to Washington after they gave up two of their top pitching prospects for Eaton in an offseason trade. Michael Taylor should take over in the outfield for Eaton, who may be in danger of missing the start of next season with this severe injury.
Eaton finishes his season with a .297/.393/.462 slash line, two homers and 13 RBI's over 107 plate appearances.
