Jeremy Hellickson tosses another effective outing for the Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson tossed six innings of one-run ball in a 3-2 win over the Maimi Marlins on Thursday.
Hellickson allowed seven hits, walked one, and had only one strikeout as he earned his fourth victory of the year. Typically a flyball pitcher, Hellickson induced 10 ground ball outs on Thursday, limiting any damage against him.
Hellickson owns a 4-0 record and a 1.80 ERA through five starts but has struck out only 11 while posting a 5.17 xFIP in 30 innings pitched this season.
