Oakland Athletics pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) said it's possible he could make his next scheduled start.
Manaea was lifted from Wednesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Angels after two innings due to shoulder tightness, but this sort of thing has only kept him out for a couple days in the past. The 25-year-old southpaw is currently scheduled to toe the rubber in Minnesota against the Twins next Tuesday.
After giving up three runs Wednesday, Manaea is up to a 5.18 ERA on the season with a 1.19 WHIP and 25.7 strikeout percentage. He's gone 1-2 across 24 2/3 innings (five starts).
