Jose Abreu (hip, groin) plans on playing Friday for White Sox
Chicago White Sox Jose Abreu (hip, groin) said he expects to play Friday against the Detroit Tigers.
The White Sox have an off day Thursday which will hopefully allow Abreu to rest up in time for Friday's matchup. He exited Wednesday's game early with a right hip flexor strain but says its pain in his upper groin that's causing him the most trouble.
Abreu has got off to a rough start this season with a .253/.309/.320 slash and eight RBI's in 81 plate appearances with zero home runs.
