Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller (elbow) may need Tommy John
Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Shelby Miller is dealing with a ligament issue in his right elbow and could need Tommy John surgery, according to Tommy Stoke of FanRag Sports.
Miller is seeking a third opinion from Dr. James Andrews, but it doesn't sound good for the 26-year-old right-hander. Arizona called up fellow righty, Zack Godley, from Triple-A Reno to replace Miller in the rotation.
Miller owns a 2-2 record with a 4.09 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 20.2 strikeout percentage in 22 innings pitched this season.
