Seattle placing Felix Hernandez (shoulder) on the disabled list
Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Hernandez returned to Seattle to have his shoulder examined after a really rough outing on Tuesday, and while his MRI results aren't known yet, he has been experiencing shoulder fatigue. Once the results are in we should have a better idea of how long he may be sidelined.
While Hernandez's 4.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through five starts are really shaky, he does own an encouraging 3.34 SIERA while his 25.6 percent hard-hit rate is down from last season's 28.7 percent, and is also better than his 26.9 percent career average.
