Giants' Brandon Crawford suffers right groin strain Tuesday night
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford has been diagnosed with a right groin strain.
Crawford will already be away from the club through at least Friday while attending funeral services for his sister-in-law, but he could wind up being placed on the 10-day disabled list, depending on the results of an MRI. He suffered the injury on Tuesday and was replaced by Eduardo Nunez at shortstop.
Crawford is hitting .263/.284/.434 with two home runs, eight RBI's and 10 runs scored in 81 plate appearances this season.
