San Diego Padres infielder Ryan Schimpf is out of the starting lineup Tuesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Cory Spangenberg is starting at third base and hitting second versus left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Diamondbacks. Yangervis Solarte is manning second and hitting cleanup for San Diego. Schimpf has three home runs this season but has gone just 6-for-59 (.102).
