Brandon Belt out of the Giants' lineup on Tuesday

The San Francisco Giants are giving first baseman Brandon Belt the night off on Tuesday.

What It Means:

The Giants are facing left-hander Clayton Kershaw on Tuesday and are looking to get as many right-handed bats into the lineup as possible. It doesn't help that Belt owns a .059 batting average against Kershaw in over 50 plate appearances. Buster Posey will play over at first base, while Nick Hundley joins the lineup and catches.

Belt is batting .247/.360/.507 with four home runs, nine RBI's and 11 runs scored in 86 plate appearances this season.
