Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Zach Britton (forearm) is scheduled to make a minor-league rehab appearance on Friday.
That assumes Britton makes it through a bullpen session on Wednesday without any pain. The Orioles appear to be targeting Sunday for Britton's return to the big leagues. The closer has been out since April 14 with the forearm soreness. Setup man Brad Brach has filled in as the closer ever since.
Britton is projected for 34 saves, a 2.14 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP in 63 1/3 innings pitched the rest of the season by numberFire's algorithms.
