Daniel Murphy's grand slam helps Nationals complete sweep of Mets
Washington Nationals infielder Daniel Murphy helped complete a three-game sweep of the New York Mets on Sunday with a grand slam in the first inning of the 6-3 victory.
Murphy finished 1-for-4 on Sunday, but he made sure the lone connection counted by taking Zack Wheeler yard with the bases loaded in the opening frame. The 32-year-old vet's .216 ISO this season is well above his .152 career average.
Murphy is up to three home runs and 14 RBI's on the season while recording a .324/.359/.541 slash in 78 plate appearances (17 games).
