Yoenis Cespedes tells Mets he'll be ready for Tuesday
Mets manager Terry Collins said after Sunday's game that New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) told manager Terry Collins he'll be ready for Tuesday's matchup with the Atlanta Braves.
Cespedes hasn't played since last Thursday, but he was in the on-deck circle as a pinch-hitter on Sunday prior to the final out. He'll go through a pre-game workout on Tuesday before the Mets make a final decision on his status.
Cespedes is batting .263/.377/.632 with 6 home runs, 10 RBI's and 12 runs scored in 69 plate appearances this season.
