Kyle Freeland shuts down Giants over seven frames for Rockies

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland pitched beautifully in Sunday's 8-0 win over the San Francisco Giants, firing off seven innings of scoreless ball.

What It Means:

Freeland allowed six hits and walked one while striking out three in an efficient seven innings. He needed only 93 pitches as he made quick work of the Giants. Take out a six-run blowup against the San Diego Padres, and Freeland has allowed just two runs in his other three starts.

Freeland owns a 2-1 record with a 3.32 ERA, 3.85 FIP, and 14 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings pitched.
