Andrew Benintendi racks up 5 hits as the Red Sox top O's

Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi went 5-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored Sunday in a 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

What It Means:

At 22-years-old, Benintendi becomes the youngest Red Sox player in 50 years to rack up five hits in a game. All five hits were singles as he scored on a Mookie Betts homer in the first and drove in Xander Bogaerts in the sixth. The Boston outfielder is off to a hot start and is the early, early favorite for AL Rookie of the Year.

Benintendi is hitting .347/.415/.444 with one home run, one RBI, two stolen bases and 10 runs scored through 82 plate appearances this season.
