Ken Giles earns his fifth save of the year for Houston

Houston Astros relief pitcher Ken Giles worked a scoreless 10th inning to earn his fifth save of the year Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Rays.

What It Means:

Giles gave up just a single to Brad Miller, with one out, as he finished his fourth consecutive scoreless appearance. It's a welcome sign after a rough stretch to start the season. The 26-year-old right-hander remains one of baseball's elite closers.

Giles now owns a 5.00 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 36.8 strikeout percentage to go along with his five saves in nine innings pitched this season.
