Zach Eflin sharp as the Phillies down the Braves

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin fired seven innings of one-run ball Sunday in the Phillies' 5-2 defeat of the Atlanta Braves.

What It Means:

Eflin blanked the Braves for six innings before giving up a solo shot to Mat Kemp in the seventh. He gave up just three hits total while walking none and striking out three in just his second start of the year. He will be back out on the mound on Saturday as he faces the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Eflin has tossed 12 innings in two starts with a 2.25 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, a .143 opponents' batting average and seven strikeouts.
