David Price (elbow) throws bullpen session for Boston
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price (elbow) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Friday.
Price felt some soreness around his elbow earlier this week, so the Red Sox dialed back his rehab a bit. Friday was his first bullpen work in six days. The pitcher won't throw again off a mound until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. Price appears to still be in the initial stages of his throwing program and remains without a clear timetable for his return.
Price is coming off a modest first season in Boston as he went 17-9 but held a 3.99 ERA and 1.20 WHIP while striking out 228 in 230 innings pitched in 2016.
