Mike Moustakas taking a breather as the Royals face the Rangers
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is not in the lineup Friday versus the Texas Rangers.
The Rangers are starting southpaw Cole Hamels Friday night, prompting the night off for Moustakas. He has played in all 15 of the Royals games this year and is expected to be back out there on Saturday. Cheslor Cuthbert is playing third and batting fifth versus Hamels.
Moustakas is hitting .291/.382/.582 with five home runs, seven RBI's, and nine runs scored in 59 plate appearances in 2017.
