New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) is not in the lineup Friday against the Washington Nationals.
Despite the absence, it's encouraging that Cespedes hasn't been placed on the disabled list. He'll be held out of action for a few days. Michael Conforto will start in left field for the Mets while Juan Lagares mans center and Curtis Granderson is in right.
Cespedes is batting .263/.377/.632 with 6 home runs, 10 RBI's and 12 runs scored in 69 plate appearances this season.
