Nationals scratch Daniel Murphy (leg) from Thursday's game
Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy has been scratched from Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves because of tightness in his right leg.
According to manager Dusty Baker, Murphy did not look right in Wednesday's game, prompting the day off for the second baseman. They hope to have him back out on Friday as they kick off a three-game series with the New York Mets. Grant Green will play second base with Wilmer Difo manning short on Thursday.
Murphy has been off to a nice start in 2017, evidenced by a .344/.375/.557 slash with two home runs, 10 RBI's and eight runs scored in 64 plate appearances this season.
