Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth was lifted from Wednesday's win over the Atlanta Braves with a "groin spasm".
The inventive "groin spasm" description comes from Nationals manager Dusty Baker. Werth appeared to injure himself on a checked swing in the third inning. He is day-to-day.
Werth is hitting .289/.347/.489 with three home runs and seven RBI's in 49 plate appearances this season.
