Oakland's Andrew Triggs excels in Tuesday's victory over the Rangers
Oakland Athletics pitcher Andrew Triggs didn't allow any earned runs (two unearned) while notching five strikeouts with no walks over six innings as the A's beat the Texas Rangers 4-2 on Tuesday.
Triggs has thrown 17 2/3 innings over three starts this season, going 3-0 without allowing a single earned run.
While his 0.00 ERA is obviously impressive, it is accompanied by a 4.18 SIERA and only a 13.0 percent strikeout rate -- not good signs for the continuation of his huge success.
