Brad Brach, Darren O'Day to split Baltimore's closing duties
Baltimore Orioles reliever Brad Brach said he was told by manager Buck Showalter that he will share closer duties with Darren O'Day while Zach Britton (forearm) is sidelined.
Brach has significantly outplayed O'Day in the season's early goings, but it sounds like Showalter wants to split the work between the two. Britton is hoping to return when he's first eligible on April 25.
Brach has given up just one hit and no runs while striking out six batters in his six outings this season. O'Day, on the other hand, owns a 9.64 ERA while walking five and fanning four.
