Pittsburgh's Starling Marte hit with an 80-game suspension
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starlin Marte has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, earning him an 80-game suspension.
In addition to missing 80 games in the regular season, Marte will not be eligible to play in the 2017 postseason. Look for Adam Frazier to move into an everyday starter role.
Marte had been struggling to start the season, slashing only .241/.288/.370 with a .288 wOBA through 59 plate appearances.
