Lance Lynn blanks Pirates for seven frames as Cardinals pick up win
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Lance Lynn fired seven scoreless innings Monday in a 2-1 defeat of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Lynn gave up three hits and walked one while striking out five. The 29-year-old right-hander missed all of 2016 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he looks poised for an impressive comeback campaign. Next up is a road date with the Milwaukee Brewers.
