Rich Hill (blister) lands on Dodgers' disabled list for second time this season

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a blister on his left middle finger.

What It Means:

This is Hill's second turn on the disabled list this season with a blister issue. He's currently throwing with a band-aid on his finger, but manager Dave Roberts said the club is considering shutting the 37-year-old left-hander down for a while. A switch to the bullpen could also be a possibility, but this remains a fluid situation. Alex Wood will take Hill's spot in the Dodgers' rotation.

While numberFire's models don't yet account for any time Hill may miss with this newest issue, they project him for a 3.35 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 142 innings pitched over the remainder of the season.
